When most people decide they want to earn money online they tend to think three things:
1) There’s some magic formula for doing it.
2) It’s going to be really easy.
3) They will get rich quickly.
If you are one of those people then I am telling you to please change your mindset right now or you aren’t going to get anywhere. None of those 3 things are true. In fact, they couldn’t be further from the truth!
Sit back and think about it for a second. If earning money on the internet really was that easy then everyone would do it and we would all be rich. But in reality it takes a lot of hard work, time, persistence, and patience just like building any other business. You have to learn a lot and figure out how to push through failures.
Sure, there are ways to earn money fast that you can do if you are in a bind and need some cash now. The problem is that most of them are unsustainable and usually not worth your time in the long run. Some of them can even get you in trouble if you are not careful. It’s the same as in the offline “real” world.
You can make money online. There’s no doubt about that. You might even become very wealthy from it. However, there are no secret magic formula’s, it’s not easy, and you won’t become rich over night.
Also, there’s no need to buy any products or services that supposedly teach you how to make money on the internet or even do it for you. There are more than enough blogs and forums that you can learn from for free (like this one). And I have never seen any product that lives up to promises of doing it for you, so you can definitely skip those. Yes, there are some tools and resources than can help you along the way but don’t fall for all the hype you see every day from people promoting products that are supposed to be the newest and coolest way to earn money.
Work hard. Keep learning. Find a knowledgeable mentor. Push through failures. Never give up. That’s how to build a successful online business.

You are absolutely right. Making money on the Internet is hard. We have owned a number of brick and mortar businesses and I think it has taken longer to show a profit online.
The more you know, the more you grow. It is important for those who want to make money online study and follow one guru, not a hundred different opinions.

You are absolutely right. In my own opinion,the reason why most people fail online is simply because they buy into all programs from these so called “multiple guru”. When they are offered one program, they hardly give it a second thought , they literally jump to their wallet.
I was in that situation in the past , because i needed to find a better means of livelihood, i keep hoping from one program to another, and to another .
Although i discovered myself in the end. The bloke who showed me the way didn’t demand a dime from me.

Awesome post. The key is to get a plan and work it. Many people I coach and
work with do not want to do the necessary work. I keep telling them to do the work and the results will follow.
There are quite a few people that just need to be convinced once and for all that there are no “silver bullet” programs that will make them rich with little or no effort. I like to work with these people, and find myself willing to “hit them between the eyes” and help them see that the reward is there if the effort is expended.
